Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Which languages does LinkVoice support?

Any pair of 38 languages: every language the Gemini live model understands that the iPhone can also speak, from Arabic, Chinese and Hindi to Thai, Turkish and Vietnamese.

Do I have to tap between speakers?

Not in Auto mode. LinkVoice ends a turn after one second of quiet, shows and speaks the translation, and listens again as soon as the voice finishes. Either person can speak next, in either language. If you prefer control, Take turns mode is push-to-talk: tap to speak, tap to translate.

The translation was wrong or in the wrong direction. Why?

LinkVoice identifies the language from the words spoken, not from who is holding the phone. Very short replies, names, numbers and heavy background noise are the usual causes of mistakes. Move closer to the microphone, let each sentence finish, and switch on Show diagnostics under More options if you want to report exactly what the interpreter heard. Never rely on LinkVoice where a mistranslation could cause harm.

Does it work without internet?

No. Speech recognition and translation run on Google's Gemini service, so LinkVoice needs a data connection while a conversation is running. Only the spoken translation is produced on your device.

How is interpreting time counted?

Only the seconds of speech that the interpreter actually processes are charged, per sentence. Idle time, the spoken translation and silent turns are free. Your remaining time is shown under More options.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel LinkVoice there. You keep your monthly minutes until the end of the current period. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription.

I bought time but the app doesn't show it.

Open More options → Plans and time and tap Restore Purchases. If the balance is still wrong after a minute, email us with the App Store receipt date and we will check the ledger.

How do I delete my account and data?

Open More options and choose Delete account. Your sign-in, balance and purchase records are removed immediately; unused time is lost. Conversation history lives only on your device, so delete it from the History screen or by removing the app. If you cannot open the app, email us from the address you signed in with. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
